Ria Atayde keeps mum about brother's love life
19 Nov – There's not much that Ria Atayde would like to say about the romance rumours between her brother Arjo and actress Maine Mendoza except that he is currently happy.
As reported on ABS-CBN, the actress, who was asked about the real score between the two, stated that her brother is handling everything well.
"He's happy with everything. I guess that's all I can say - he's happy. He's at a point where he's happy and I'm really happy to see him happy," she said.
Atayde stated that that is all that she can share, and that she will let Arjo explain his personal life to the public himself.
"I keep telling him, when he's ready, he should be the one [announcing it]," she added.
Atayde also stated that her brother remained unaffected over the hype over his supposed romance with Mendoza.
"I'm more, like, "Oh my God, I want to reply already," and he says, "You know what, Ria, don't mind them. We know the truth, we know what's going on, we don't have to give them that much"," she said.
It is noted that the actress herself previously dropped hints about her brother's relationship with the "Eat Bulaga" star, writing online, "If a guy and girl are both single, they should be able to date whoever they want. And a genuine sign of support is if you let them, if you accept it and if you become happy for them even if they don't go for the person you're rooting for. Just my two cents."
