Here's a beauty tip for you: Did you know that oxygen infusion facials have been long revered by celebrities like Jessica Biel, Justin Timberlake and Kim Kardashian? Celebs love going for such facials because the treatment gives them a glowing appearance before big events. Imagine just a burst of highly concentrated oxygen needed to pump directly to the skin and you'll be able to see visible results after a few hours.

Recently, I was pleased to find out about Kskin's Pigmentation Lightening & Brightening treatment that's programmed under just 30 minutes for us busy professionals who can't find the time to treat ourselves. Priced at S$50 nett, the treatment helps to target and treat dark spots, blemishes and evens out the skin colour and improves the texture.

Easy booking process

At their newest outlet in PLQ Mall, I walked right up to their booking kiosk, selected the treatment and you can make the payment in under 10 minutes. A booking number will be given to you and a SMS will be sent to you informing your queue number and timing.

After getting your number, just saunter up to the outlet and inform the beauty consultant who will lead you to your seat. As Kskin works predominantly as an express Korean salon, the outlet's space is big enough to only house three to four customers at one time.

What the express facial treatment entails

Kskin's Pigmentation Lightening & Brightening treatment name says it all. If you hardly use sunscreen when headed outside, you'll notice the production of melasma or dark spots on your skin. In some cases, your skin tone gets a shade or two darker. To remove the build-up of dead skin on the surface, the treatment begins with a deep cleansing, followed by the application of hydration and antioxidant products to nourish your skin.

Using Korean technology, excess sebum and impurities are drawn out using high-frequency vibrations, coupled with the use of in-house pigmentation cream and serums to reduce dark spots and hyperpigmentation. My favourite bit of the treatment is the full blast of the highly concentrated oxygen on my skin as it had a cooling feeling. This step was to help the serum absorption into my skin, before we ended with the application of Kskin's moisturiser and serum with a relaxing massage.

While 30 minutes feels too short for me, I do like the notion of fitting in a facial during my lunch break. My skin looks slightly refreshed after the facial but I feel you'll be able to see a contrasting difference with regular express facials.
