Rene Liu denies conspiring with sister to get grandma's properties

7 Jun - Rene Liu has recently denied allegations made by a relative of hers that she was in cahoots and was protecting her sister, whom they said had manipulated her way into getting the property owned by their grandmother, who has dementia.

As reported on Oriental Daily, the Taiwanese singer-actress recently issued a statement through her management company, saying that Rene only found out about the issue through media reports and that she was saddened by the accusations.

The company also said that the case against Rene's elder sister has already been ruled out by the Taipei District Prosecutor's Office last year, and that the actress herself was never a part of the case.

"The company will continue to pay attention to the development of the situation. If anyone makes unwarranted judgments again, the rights of Ms. Rene Liu will be protected according to the law," the company added.

According to the media, Rene was raised by her grandparents since she was young and would always find time to visit them despite her busy schedule. The singer said that since she had received endless love and support from them, all she could do was to try her best to return the love.

Rene said that she has never sought to benefit from her grandparents and that she was saddened over her relative's decision to take the matters to the media.
