Reebok Drops Futuristic and Customizable Instapump Fury 95 Sneaker With Happy99

Reebok is giving its Instapump sneaker silhouette a futuristic upgrade with help from Happy99.

The collaborative Instapump Fury 95 sneaker offers footwear lovers a unique and nostalgic take on Reebok’s original 1994 model, unlike anything the footwear brand has dropped before. The sci-fi meets streetwear unisex silhouette retails for $230 and comes in two funky colorways, including “Purple Vibe” and “Hint Mint.”

The sleek and futuristic sneakers are laceless, a common theme for Reebok’s Instapump styles, and feature many interesting design details that pull inspiration from video games, anime and street art. These details include a slightly sheer mesh gator laid overtop the sneaker featuring anime-inspired graphics and characters that Happy99 is known for.

These mesh overlays feature bungee adjusters to customize the fit and can be easily taken on and off, so you can customize the look of the sneaker depending on your mood. The sneakers also include synthetic uppers, textile lining and limited-edition sockliners also featuring some of Happy99’s signature characters.

Happy99 is a digital streetwear and sneaker label based in the heart of Chinatown in New York, founded in 2018 by Nathalie Nguyen and Dominic Lopez. In 2018, the brand first launched a pair of platform slip-on sneakers in black and gray with silver metallic and neon green detailing.

Today, Happy99 regularly launches apparel, footwear and accessories via the brand’s whimsical online store. These products range from knitted visors to keychains and t-shirts. The brand also creates 3D models of apparel and accessories.

Reebok’s original Fury 95 silhouette was designed by Steven Smith back in 1994. The style has since received numerous re-releases and new colorways throughout the years.

Reebok and Happy99’s collaborative Instapump Fury 95 sneakers were originally made available via Happy99’s online and physical store on Dec. 15. The models will also be available for purchase via reebok.com on Dec. 22 at 12 a.m. ET.
