Ree Drummond And Her Husband Look So Happy On Vacation Following His Neck Injury Recovery
Ree Drummond on her husband Ladd are enjoying a couple's vacation in Colorado together. The pair has been trying to plan a trip to Colorado for some time now and most recently had to postpone their trip due to Ladd's recent neck injury.
The Pioneer Woman shared a blog post about her vacation so far and has been updating her followers with photos on Instagram. Two days ago, Ree posted a selfie of her and Ladd, tagging the location as Vail, CO, and explaining in the caption how ecstatic she was to be on vacay together.
"Last time Ladd and I tried to go to Colorado together, there was this really bad accident involving a fire truck and we didn’t make it. So my answer to the question 'How happy are you to be in Colorado with your husband right now?' would most definitely be this: Happy. So very, very, extremely, through-the-roof, over the moon happy," she wrote in her caption, finishing off her sentimental message with a joke, "(Until he makes me hike up the Berry Picker trail with him later this week, then I will leave his butt on the mountain and drive back to Oklahoma by myself.)"
On March 10 of this year, Ladd and his nephew Caleb were involved in a truck collision when they were driving to respond to a fire near their farm. Ultimately, Caleb broke a few ribs and had a concussion while Ladd broke his neck in two places. Both men are on their way toward full recoveries.
The timing makes this couple's vacation even more special especially since Ree explained in her blog post that the March trip was the third planned Colorado getaway that Ladd had to end up missing. So far they have explored the town, attended a church service, and Ree enjoyed a large turkey leg. A mood if I've ever seen one!
