Red Was Trending at the Golden Globes 2024: Florence Pugh, Selena Gomez and More Stars Who Favored Rouge Hues

Rouge hues dominated the runway during the fall 2023 season, with labels such as Valentino, Carolina Herrera and Emilia Wickstead ushering in a red renaissance. On Monday night, stars like Selena Gomez, Florence Pugh and Ayo Edebiri brought the trend into the new year, opting for fiery shades on the Golden Globes red carpet.

Julianne Moore opted for a strapless Bottega Veneta gown, pairing it with a diamond Cartier necklace. Stylist Kate Young, who works with stars including Scarlett Johansson, Dakota Johnson and Michelle Williams, helped choose Moore’s Golden Globes look.

Stylist Rebecca Corbin-Murray worked on the “Oppenheimer” star’s look. Corbin-Murray dresses several celebrities, including Salma Hayek, Gemma Chan and Priyanka Chopra.

The “Only Murders in the Building” star wore a custom Armani Privé dress that featured an asymmetric hemline, bodice cutouts and sequined floral appliqués. Gomez added a pair of matching metallic pumps by Christian Louboutin and a suite of diamond jewelry from Bulgari. The actress was styled by Erin Walsh, who also dresses stars like Anne Hathaway, Jessica Alba and Elizabeth Banks.

Golden Globe winner Edebiri wore a strapless red dress from Prada, which was crafted from technical satin. The actress added a pair of matching satin pumps, completing her look with white gold and diamond Boucheron jewels. Danielle Goldberg, who also styles Kaia Gerber, Greta Lee and Laura Harrier, dressed Edebiri for the occasion.

The 81st annual Golden Globe Awards, held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, celebrated the biggest achievements across film and television in 2023.
