When one of the Property Brothers gets hitched, it's big news. Photos from the big day have inspired countless stories - maybe not royal wedding caliber, but in the HGTV-watching world, pretty freakin' close - with a whole televised special, Drew And Linda Say I Do, airing this Saturday on TLC. Even the cake will be featured on Food Network toward the end of the month, which is fitting, considering all three channels are now owned by Discovery Communications.

But, even if you've dutifully scoured every Instagram until you can get your front-row seat on the action during Drew Scott and Linda Phan's TV special, you probably weren't aware of the details that went into choosing the wedding dress. Er, wedding dresses, because there were two.

Linda went to famed wedding dress designer Claire Pettibone in Los Angeles, filming her first fitting for part of an episode of Property Brothers At Home: Drew's Honeymoon House. Later, she returned for a more formal fitting, once she knew Claire was The One (designer, that is).

Linda wanted a romantic dress that'd complement the kilt Drew was planning to wear for the ceremony, but also reflected her personality. All in all, a pretty standard request. The reception dress, however, included a little bit of a curveball. You see, Linda needed something she could ... cartwheel in. Yes, cartwheel.

After appearing on Dancing With The Stars, Drew wanted to go all out on their first dance as a couple - and Linda was all in, down to doing a cartwheel over Drew's back.

"It's gonna be epic," Drew told People TV before the big day. The cartwheel isn't even the wildest part, though: "I pick her up over my head, so she's sort of like a log that I'm holding up, kind of thing, and I spin, and spin, and spin. That's the part that she doesn't like, because I spin so fast that she gets dizzy."

Claire tweaked her Gypsy Rose design, adding a layer of sparkles under the flowy dress's embroidery to boost its glam factor - and a back slit to make sure Linda could easily cartwheel without ripping her gown, the designer wrote in a blog post.

The other request was equally unexpected: "Could you come by the house and sew microphones into the gowns, because we’re filming a wedding special, and Linda will need to wear a mic, and the dresses are sheer … and we leave for Italy tomorrow?!" Claire wrote. "Of course, no problem!"

The designer found a way to discreetly sew a mic into each dress, so it didn't stand out in photos. Linda was ecstatic with the results.

"The ceremony dress is so classic," she said in her People TV interview. "It feels so buttery when I put it on. I don't know any other word to describe it."

Both gowns featured embroidered flowers, subtly incorporating the wedding colors into the design, which Linda also loved.

As for that cartwheel-over-the-back-and-spun-like-a-log-overhead dance number, well, you'll have to check out Drew And Linda Say I Do (airing Saturday, June 2 at 9 p.m. EST on TLC) to see how that goes.
