Raymond Lam enjoys playing a villain

6 Apr – Hong Kong actor Raymond Lam admitted that he is blessed to be able to fulfill his wish to play a villain in a movie.

In an interview with Mingpao recently, the actor, who is playing an antagonist for the first time in the new action-thriller "P Storm", stated that it was one of the dreams he has finally achieved in his career.

"I am thankful to Louis [Koo] for enabling me to achieve it," he said.

Raymond also admitted that he tried to approach his character in the movie in various ways, and was worried about playing the character too flamboyant - especially since he was playing against strong performers like Louis and Gordon Lam.

"I was nervous in the beginning. Each dialogue, every move needed to be rational and convincing. So I relied on the director and my co-stars on how to control the intensity," he said.

Speaking about his collaboration with Louis Koo more than a decade since their last project together, Raymond said that he has learned a lot about Louis' rhythms and demands through the movie.

"I will be filming "Back to the Past" with him soon. This movie is just a warm-up," he said.
