Ray Yeung honoured with two awards by HK Screenwriters Guild
5 May – Hong Kong filmmaker Ray Yeung is thankful for the two accolades given to him by the Hong Kong Screenwriters Guild.
As reported on Mingpao, the director who received Most Recommended Screenplay and Best Film Character for his film, "Suk Suk" from guest presenter Stanley Kwan, expressed, "I am very honoured to receive the support from the Screenwriters Guild for this movie. I am also thankful to Tai Bo for giving such an exciting performance as Ah Pak."
Ray expressed his belief that a script plays as important a character as the actor themselves, as a good script will enable the actors to play the characters efficiently.
He also revealed that the film has its own connection to guest presenter and director Stanley Kwan.
"Stanley really liked the script and even helped me find investors for the project, and called for assistance from William Chang for the editing. I really am thankful to him for that," he said.
