Ratings: ‘Quantico,’ ‘OUAT’ Premieres Fail Fourth-Place ABC

ABC settled for fourth place in TV ratings on Sunday, with lackluster starts for “Quantico” and “Once Upon a Time.” While “Secrets & Lies” didn’t quite kill it either, that debut at least fared fine internally for the tough time slot.

NBC easily finished first last night, thanks to “Sunday Night Football.” CBS was runner-up with an NFL overrun — the rest of its shows reaped the benefits.

Fox bested ABC in the key 18-49 demographic, though their spots were reversed among total viewers.

NBC was first in ratings with a 5.5 rating/18 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 15.4 million, according to preliminary numbers. Pregame show “Football Night in America” earned a 3.4/11 and 10.1 million viewers on-average from 8 o’clock to 9:30 p.m. ET. The Chicago Bears-Dallas Cowboys game followed, bringing those numbers even higher.

CBS was second in ratings with a 2.6/8 and in viewers with 13 million. An NFL overrun at 7 p.m. ET scored a 5.8/21 and 20.4 million viewers. At 7:30, the game ran into “60 Minutes” — the two combined for a 4.9/17 and 18.6 million viewers. At 8, “60 Minutes” alone landed a 2.7/9 and 14.5 million viewers. More of the news magazine show ran into the “NCIS: Los Angeles” premiere at 8:30, putting together a 1.9/6 and 12.5 million viewers. At 9, more “NCIS: L.A.” put up a 1.5/4 and 10.3 million viewers. The conclusion of the program made way for a rerun sometime after 10:30, netting out a 1.3/4 and 8.6 million viewers.

Fox was third in ratings with a 1.2/4 and fourth in viewers with 2.9 million. Following a repeat, “Bob’s Burgers” premiered at 7:30 p.m. ET to a 1.3/4 and 3 million viewers.
