Ratings: ABC’s Game Shows Overtake CBS (and Everyone Else) Again

ABC’s game shows combined for another Sunday primetime victory.

CBS’ “Big Brother” was the top-rated individual series in the key 18-49 demographic, however. That network finished second outright.

ABC was first in ratings with a 1.2 rating/5 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 5.9 million, according to preliminary numbers. Following a rerun, “Celebrity Family Feud” at 8 p.m. posted a 1.4/6 and 7.5 million viewers. At 9, “The $100,000 Pyramid” put up a 1.4/5 and 6.7 million viewers. “Match Game” at 10 landed a 1.1/4 and 5.5 million viewers.

CBS was second in ratings with a 0.9/3 and in viewers with 4.8 million. At 7, “60 Minutes” had a 0.8/4 and 7.6 million viewers. “Big Brother” at 8 earned a 1.9/7 and 6.3 million viewers. After a repeat, “BrainDead” managed a 0.3/1 and 2.3 million viewers.

NBC was third in ratings with a 0.6/2 and in viewers with 2.7 million, airing all reruns.

Univision and Fox tied for fourth in ratings, both with a 0.5/2. Univision was fourth in total viewers with 1.6 million, the all-repeat Fox was fifth with 1.4 million.

Telemundo was sixth in ratings with a 0.2/1 and in viewers with 702,000.
