Ram Chiang in awe with Chung King Fai's professionalism
25 Oct - If there is one person to look up to when it comes to professionalism, Ram Chiang believes it should be veteran actor Chung King Fai, or "King Sir" to his juniors.
As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who sat down for an interview alongside his "Finding Her Voice" co-stars Savio Tsang and Jimmy Au recently, stated that he was in awe with the 82-year-old actor, who was able to perform his best despite having undergone surgery prior to filming.
"King Sir was not in his best health [at the time of filming]. In fact, he was still recuperating from his illness. But as soon as it was time to shoot, he would completely immerse himself in his role and change into a different person altogether," he said.
Ram added that seeing Chung's determination made the whole cast even more motivated to do their best.
It is noted that Chung was diagnosed with first stage colon cancer in late 2016, and had to undergo a minimally invasive surgery to remove the cancer cells.
On the other hand, his two co-stars sang praises for Ram himself, saying that the actor helped them a lot when it comes to singing in the drama.
"Although we have the experience of singing on stage, it was the first time for us to sing in front of the camera. There was also the fact that we have to sing in Italian. Fortunately, Ram helped us. He didn't just perform on his own, but also assisted others around him. It was very reassuring," they said.
