Raffles Hotel's Long Bar reopens with Singapore Sling offer

SINGAPORE – Raffles Hotel’s historic Long Bar is reopening its doors from today onwards for guests to enjoy the iconic cocktail, Singapore Sling, in the city.

To welcome guests and diners back to the legendary bar, Raffles Hotel Singapore is offering an exclusive promotion with every purchase of the Original Singapore Sling (S$35++). Available from today till 31 March 2021, guests who order an Original Singapore Sling are entitled to an additional complimentary Original Singapore Sling or one snack of their choice from the Asian-inspired bar bites menu.

The snacks menu will offer a selection of Asian small plates including authentic Singaporean delights such as Singapore Chilli Crab Cake (S$22++), made with succulent crabmeat and chilli crab sauce, Spicy Tiger Prawns (S$16++), enveloped with sweet and sour sauce accompanied with a refreshing green papaya salad, and more. Guests can also indulge in the “Long Bar” Chocolate Peanut Bar (S$15++), from the menu, a nod to the unique Long Bar experience of snacking on peanuts from a gunny sack.

In addition to the beloved Singapore Sling, there are also a range of cocktail variations that offer a twist on the iconic concoction, such as the refreshing Sakura Sling (S$29++), an exotic blend signifying friendship and the renewal of spring made with Dasai 50 Sake, Calvados, St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur Hibiscus and Cayenne Cordial, Green Chartreuse; or the exquisite Vintage Sling (S$188++), made with private collection vintage spirits from the 1950s, the era when the Singapore Sling was becoming a global icon.

Guests can also choose from a selection Straits Classic Cocktails, historical recipes from the Straits Settlements and some of the favourite international cocktails, remixed with authentic local flavours, such as Gin Pahit (S$26++), the Malayan style gin and tonic, or Sour Plum Mojito (S$26++), a refreshing take on the iconic Cuban cocktail, remixed with a favourite local drink. The Long Bar also offers a curated selection of wines, beers and spirits.

To complete your Singapore experience, bring home products from Raffles Boutique that can be purchased directly at Long Bar. The specially-curated selection includes popular items, such as Raffles Chilli Crab Sauce (S$15.90), Singapore Sling Teabags (S$39), stylish Raffles Façade Totebag (S$82), and handy Raffles Oven Mittens (S$20.90).

Long Bar is now open from 4pm to 10pm on Thursday to Saturday.
