Rachel Peters is confident of Catriona Gray's ability
23 Apr – If there is one Filipina who may be able to repeat Pia Wurtzbach's victory at the Miss Universe pageant, Rachel Peters reckon Catriona Gray would be the one to do it.
As reported on Push, the beauty queen who spoke to the media recently about the upcoming pageant while promoting tourism in Siargao Island, admitted that she has full confidence in Gray, who previously placed in the top five at the Miss World 2016 pageant.
"What I can say about Catriona is that she is the most hardworking girl that I've ever met," said Peters, adding that Gray could win the crown as long as she stays focused, humble, and remembers the reason why she joined the pageant in the first place.
Peters also stated that Gray is already an experienced pageant queen, who is able to handle the negativity and backlash from her critics with grace.
"She knows what to expect and she knows how to deal with negative comments and negative people," she said.
Peters was Philippine's bet for the 2017 Miss Universe crown, but only succeeded in placing in the top 10.
