Rachel Lee to marry Calvin Poon
10 June – Will wedding bells be ringing for sex goddess Rachel Lee and on-and-off-again boyfriend Calvin Poon?
Jayne Stars reported that the "Ordinary Heroes" actress recently hinted at a wedding in near future when approached by the media at a music store where she and Calvin were buying a guitar for Rachel's 16-year-old daughter.
When teased with congratulatory remark of being the future Mrs. Poon, the 47 year-old merely nodded and smiled. Speculations were fuelled when the actress dismissed rumours of Calvin two-timing her, and stated, "Our relationship is getting better. Later we will have an announcement for everybody."
Rachel, formerly known as Loletta Lee, met actor-director Calvin Poon in 1985 after working together for the movie "Kiss Me Goodbye". The latter ended his marriage in order to be with Rachel but the relationship did not pull through as Rachel was involved with Debra Li's brother, Patrick at the time.
Following her divorce from husband Clarence Hui, Calvin resumed his relationship with Rachel, but was met with another obstacle when Rachel's daughter objected to the union. It took Calvin six years to finally win her approval, so much so that she now calls him "daddy".
