Qin, Brigitte, Charlie & Joan to reunite
3 Jun – It was reported that after 30 years, acting legends Qin Han, Charlie Chin, Brigitte Lin and Joan Lin may be reunited at this year's Golden Horse Awards.
As reported on Groove Asia, the organising committee of the Golden Horse Awards recently revealed that they are currently in talks with the four to stand on the same stage for the 50th anniversary of the award show.
Although decisions have yet to be made, a rep from the organising committee revealed that the four showed interest in making their appearance for the first time after 30 years.
Qin Han, Charlie Chin, Brigitte Lin and Joan Lin were hailed idols in the '70s and early '80s. They were the top choices for male and female lead roles in popular Qiong Yao drama series of that time.
Although they were all good friends, three of them were also involved in a love triangle during their heydays.
The already married Qin Han was reportedly interested in Brigitte when they co-starred in the movie "Outside The Window" in 1972 and tried to pursue her when they were collaborating again in "I Am A Cloud" in 1977. At that time, actor Charlie Chin was also vying for her attention.
Brigitte was then engaged to Charlie in 1980 but the engagement only lasted four years. She later married business tycoon Michael Ying after a failed relationship with Qin Han in 1993.
The 50th Golden Horse Awards is slated to be held in November.
