Puteri Zarith admits separation from husband of 14 years
20 Sep – Social media influencer and entrepreneur Puteri Zarith recently confirmed that she has filed for divorce from husband Dr Munzir Shkori back in May.
Speaking to the media about the divorce, Puteri Zarith stated that the decision was made after much discussion between the two parties following some marital issues that started last year.
"We decided to focus on our own careers ... I decided not to continue with the marriage to avoid from it affecting my work and my children's emotional health. It's tiring to have negativity around you," she said.
Puteri Zarith admitted that she has tried her best to defend her marriage, seeing that they have been together for 14 years, but that it didn't work.
"I have done lots of istikharah prayers and maybe this is the best decision for the both of us. We still have a good relationship, especially when it comes to managing our kids," she added.
Puteri Zarith tied the knot in January 2009. The former couple are parents to two children.
