Puteri Sarah Liyana learns to let go following divorce
15 Jun – Now that her marriage has ended, Puteri Sarah Liyana can breathe a sigh of relief and finally move on.
On 14 June, following the end of her divorce case with filmmaker Syamsul Yusof, the "Andai Itu Takdirnya" actress took to social media to express her thoughts, writing, "I used to be so afraid to let go. I used to hate separation. I used to hate ending things. I used to be so afraid of how much my heart would hurt when they were no longer in my life. I have a lot of questions about how, if and what could happen next and that's where I've been wrong all along - being afraid of everything."
"And now I understand. When something ends, it ends for a reason. When something doesn't work, it doesn't work for a reason. You finally know that letting go is beautiful," she added.
The actress added that while it is difficult, one always has to remember that it was God's fate, that one should always be patient and that there is a silver lining in every cloud.
Earlier, Sarah and Syamsul appeared at the Federal Territories Syariah Court for the process of pronouncing the talaq, and were legally divorced after one pronouncement.
