Puma and Cult Danish Running Brand SaySky Made Chic Gear for Almost Every Type of Run
The era of the small running brand with cult following is continuing make runners look more stylish, as Puma has tapped SaySky out of Copenhagen for their first collaboration.

Dynamic color blocking comes with a black liner, laces, heel tab and outsole. A white midsole then hosts pink “Nitro” branding and a “Puma x Saysky” wordmark that looks like it was hand written with black sharpie, a flourish the carries over to the remaining two sneakers.
Muted gray then forms the upper of the Deviate Nitro Elite 3, the higher-end super shoe, as well as the everyday trainer ForeverRun Nitro 2. A bit more pop comes on the ForeverRun Nitro 2 through its gum outsole, a decision that rarely comes unwelcome. All three shoes also feature mismatched, oversized marks on the upper spilling over from the upper onto the midsole.
Apparel, SaySky’s specialty, is thoroughly represented in a range of outerwear, tops, pants, shorts and sports bra. Most of the garms come in solid shades including blues, yellow and pink, but there’s more fun to be had in a repeating wave pattern used for the jacket and singlet and inspired by the famous Japanese woodblock print “The Great Wave off Kanagawa.”
Lars C. Pedersen, founder and chief operating officer of SaySky, said in a release: “Life and running are like the ocean – some days are turbulent, pushing us to our limits, while others offer moments of calm and reflection. Together, we embrace the highs and lows, knowing that it’s our unity and collective drive that make us stronger – and just like the waves found on these premium pieces, we are dynamic, ever-changing, and forever in motion.”
The Saysky x Puma Puma Deviate Nitro 3, Deviate Nitro Elite 3 and ForeverRun Nitro 2, as well as the rest of the collection, releases Thursday, March 13, through both parties’ websites, Puma’s NYC and Las Vegas flagships and select third-party boutiques. Prices for the shoes run from $160 to $240 and the apparel from $55 to $140.
Saysky and Puma will host a launch event with a 4.5 mile run Saturday, March 15, in New York City. Space is limited to 150 runners, but RSVPs are still open through SaySky’s website.
