Puma and Collina Strada Reimagine the Mostro With Bold Flower Accents in Latest Collection

Puma has teamed up once again with NYC-based label Collina Strada on a footwear capsule collection.

According to the German athletic company, the second edition of the Puma x Collina Strada collection showcases the brand’s low-profile Mostro silhouette with spiked soles in three new colorways – Rose Quartz/Deeva Peach/Fizzy Apple, Warm White/Alpine Snow/Frosted Ivory, and Fizzy Apple/Rosebay/Wild Willow all-over print.

Loaded with hidden details, the collab is topped off with an oversized flower tongue flap featuring the co-branded collab logo. These shoes come with two sets of interchangeable tongue flaps and are flowery inside and out thanks to the use of recycled and vegan-certified materials.

“Working with Puma on the Mostro was such a nostalgic experience-It was a shoe I wore constantly in the early 2000s,” Hillary Taymour, creative director of Collina Strada, said in a statement. “Revisiting it through a design lens was so much fun.”

The Puma Mostro was originally introduced over 25 years ago, containing design references to vintage track and surfing footwear. Known today for its distinct look, the silhouette takes its name from the Italian word for “monster.”

Collina Strada – which has previously teamed up with shoe brands like Sperry, Ugg, Vans and Melissa – first debuted its tie-up with Puma during the brand’s fall 2024 runway show earlier last year. At the show, the eco-focused brand debuted a ruffled and printed Puma x Collina Strada Suede XL and Velophasis.

But this new collaboration marks the latest interpretation of Puma’s signature Mostro style. Perhaps its most notable recent tie-up on the silhouette is with rap super star A$AP Rocky. The collaboration between Puma and Rocky saw the birth of the 3D printed Mostro, which help the duo land the Collaboration of the Year award at the 2024 FNAAs in December.

Last month, French designer Louis-Gabriel Nouchi released his Puma’s Mostro shoe, which was transformed into a backless slip-on mule. Puma’s Mostro was also updated in September by London-based luxury streetwear brand Aries.

The Puma x Collina Strada Mostro collection retails for $160 and will be available starting Feb. 6 on Puma.com, the Puma NYC and Las Vegas flagship stores, Collina Strada flagship store, CollinaStrada.com and select retailers.
