Psycho Bunny Opens First Store in Middle East

Psycho Bunny has taken the plunge into the Middle East.

The Montreal-based brand known for its polos with a slightly maniacal rabbit logo has opened its first brick-and-mortar location in the region, an 1,800-square-foot store in the Mall of Emirates Dubai.

To enter the region, Psycho Bunny partnered with Majid Al Futtaim, a diversified conglomerate operating in 16 Middle Eastern, African and Asian countries. MAF has the territorial rights for Psycho Bunny in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman and Egypt. The goal going forward is to open additional stores throughout the region and the company is actively looking for the right locations.

“Over the past four years, we’ve really focused our energy on opening stores in strategic locations, creating exponentially more brand awareness worldwide,” said Kenny Minzberg, chief development officer. “Opening our first store in the Middle East marks an extremely proud moment for Psycho Bunny. It’s a testament to how far we’ve come since our humble beginnings, but also how healthy our growth trajectory has been and continues to be.”

The store is the first of several the company plans on opening in the Middle East.

Pyscho Bunny now has some 150 stores in the U.S., Canada, Central and South America and Japan.

“Since we’re coming from the North American market, Dubai was a natural choice,” Minzberg added. “It not only caters to the local community, but also a myriad of international markets. The city is world-renowned for its luxurious and leisurely tourism, coupled with a distinct magnetism, which makes Dubai a crucial destination for people to discover our unique brand.”

Psycho Bunny launched in 2005 and offers men’s polos, sweats, T-shirts, pants, shorts and accessories. It is owned today by Alen Brandman of Thread Collective, an apparel manufacturer based in Montreal.
