"Produce 101" alumnus Lee Ji-Han died in Itaewon crowd rush

31 Oct – "Produce 101" alumnus Lee Ji-Han was revealed to be among those who died in the recent Itaewon crowd rush tragedy that occurred in Seoul, South Korea.

The news was confirmed by the agencies 935 Entertainment and 9Ato Entertainment on 30 October, revealing that his mourning alter will be set up at the funeral hall of Myongji Hospital and that the funeral will be on Tuesday, 1 November.

The singer first appeared in season two of the "Produce 101" reality show, and had starred in the web drama, "Today Was Another Namhyun Day".

It was also revealed that Lee was filming a new fantasy romance series for MBC prior to his passing.

He was 25.

At least 154 people died in the stampede that occurred over the weekend, when crowd of partiers, mostly clad in Halloween costumes, packed a narrow 3.2-metre-wide alleyway in Itaewon. It marked the deadliest crowd crush in the country's history.
