Princess Charlotte has clearly observed her elders, as she's a natural when it comes to royal protocol.

Back in June, she watched her great-grandmother greet the crowd with a signature royal wave at her Platinum Jubilee celebrations, before echoing the hand gesture herself.

Today, the seven-year-old was spotted showing off her royal prowess to her elder brother Prince George, during Queen Elizabeth II's State Funeral.

Another echoed that sentiment when writing: 'I’m pleased they have each other to lean on for support and will look back on this in future glad they took part in it together [sic].'

Princess Charlotte paid tribute to the Queen in more ways than one today, as she wore an accessory to accentuate her black mourning attire which had a special meaning.

The young princess choice of accessory came in the form of a horseshoe-shaped that nodded to the late monarch's love of horses and horse riding.

Princess Charlotte was also joined by Zara and Mike Tindall's daughter Mia at Her Majesty's funeral.

They made a surprise appearance to honour the Queen at St George's Chapel.

The couple's youngest children Lena, four, and Lucas, one, however, were not in attendance, because they are too young.
