The British royals are frequently seen but rarely heard and perhaps the reason for that is that when they are asked to describe themselves, they say something like, “I am a prince.”

Thank you for illuminating that.

Kensington Palace shared a photo of a card written by Prince William, the future King of England, on which he was asked to write down something that makes him special. Acceptable choices would have included:

  • “I maintain a certain degree of swagger despite an unfortunate hairline.”

  • “I am a multi-millionaire but I’m not all that showy about it.”

  • “I can dunk on a regulation hoop.”

Instead, Prince William went with, “I am a prince.” Well, sure.

“Today The Duke of Cambridge took part in anti-bullying workshop, organised by the Diana Award, to encourage young people to be proud of what makes them different,” Kensington Palace wrote on its official Instagram. “The Diana Award was set up in memory of Diana, Princess of Wales, and her belief that young people have the power to change the world for the better. It is committed to empowering thousands of young people to tackle social issues that affect other young people using a well-tested peer-led approach.”

Prince William is a prince.

And don’t you ever forget it.
