Prince Was In Pain 'All Of The Time'

The cause of Prince’s tragic death on Thursday is still yet to be determined, but it has been revealed that the star was constantly in agony after spending most of his life performing in high heels.

His former fiancee and collaborator Sheila E. has made the sensational claims in the wake of the star’s passing, admitting that Prince suffered the pain in order to give the best possible performance.

She shared: “I mean, you think about all the years he was jumping off those risers. They were not low - they were very, very high - and to jump off that… First of all, the Purple Rain tour and the way that they were stacked, he had those heels on.

"We did a year of touring [and] for him to jump off of that - just an entire year would have messed up his knees. He was in pain all the time, but he was a performer.”

The 58-year-old added to Entertainment Tonight that she is understandably struggling to come to terms with her ex’s death, sharing: “I don’t know if I can [ever say goodbye].

"My emotions, you know, I’m trying not to process it. I’m trying to ignore the fact it is true, and I’m not looking at television. I can’t see his face on television. It’s just surreal, and it makes it reality when I see it.”

Meanwhile, pop sensation Rihanna is the latest in a long stream of celebs to pay tribute to Prince, dedicating her hit song ‘Diamonds’ to the star as she performed in Canada on her Anti World Tour.

Speaking to the crowd, RiRi said: “Today is a very sad day in music. A sad day to music lovers, musicians, fans all over the world who lost one of the greatest legends, Prince. We will miss you.

"A lot of us have started making music and listening to music because of Prince, so right now I just wanna honour him, me and my crew, and you guys. Let’s shine some light to heaven for Prince right now.”

A spokesperson for Prince has revealed that we still have some time before a cause of death is known, saying in a statement: “As part of the complete exam, relevant information regarding [Prince’s] medical and family history will be gathered.

"Anything which could be relevant to the investigation will be taken into consideration. Midwest Medical Examiners Office will not release information until the exam is complete and all results are obtained.

"Gathering results will take several days and the results of a full toxicology scan could likely take weeks.”
