Prince Harry Shares Sweet Moment Watching Hummingbirds With Archie in New Docuseries

Ever since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Markle stepped back from their roles as as senior members of the royal family in 2020, the Sussexes have been somewhat quiet about their lives in their new Montecito, California home. But in Harry & Meghan, their new Netflix docuseries about their love story, fans finally get an inside look into what life has been like for them over on the west coast with their two young children.

During one scene in the second episode, Harry is shown having an intimate moment with his 3-year-old son, Archie, on a balcony, watching hummingbirds eat from a red bird feeder that appears to be from Urban Deco.

"We won't get a chance to be this close to hummingbirds ever again," the royal dad whispered sweetly to Archie, geeking out over the fluttering birds.

"Why?" the inquisitive youngster asked with an American accent.

"Because they're scared of humans," Harry said in response, before adding: "These guys, look at them!"

At that point, it seemed Archie had lost interest in the natural wonder, and instead adorably addressed his mother, who was filming the scene, with: "I have a dirty foot, mama, because I was with you!" In the wholesome footage, Harry and Meghan are then heard chuckling at their oldest child's response. Stifling her laughter, Meghan tells him, "You've got a dirty foot, sweetheart. Papa is a birdwatcher, so this is a really big moment for him."

This wasn't the only sweet moment Harry and Meghan shared with Archie in the Netflix program. Throughout the three episodes, rare snaps and footage can be seen of the parents bonding with their son.

"We've been really conscious of protecting our kids as best as we can," Meghan explained at one point in the docuseries, "and also understanding the role that they play in this really historic family."

Harry added, "As a dad and as parents, I think consent is a really key piece to this. That if you have children, it should be your consent to what you share."
