Power Rangers actor Ricardo Medina Jr has been charged with the murder of his roommate.

The 36-year-old was arrested for the crime back in February 2015, but was rearrested and charged yesterday with one count of murder.

The pair were reportedly arguing over Medina’s girlfriend.

If found guilty of the charge, he could face a sentence of up to 26 years in jail.

The incident occurred on February 1, 2015, during which Sutter was stabbed in the abdomen with the sword, after which Medina called the police.

Sutter was pronounced dead at the hospital, with Medina claiming self defence. He was released on February 3, before being rearrested and charged yesterday.

Medina Jr is best known for playing the red power ranger in the TV shows ‘Power Rangers Wild Force’ from 2002 and Power Rangers Samurai from 2011 to 2012, as well as voicing the character of Deker in the Power Rangers Super Samurai video game.

He’s also appeared in episodes of ‘CSI: Miami’ and ‘ER’.
