Aye-yai-yai! Here’s a fresh look at the all-new big screen ‘Power Rangers,’ as Lionsgate release five new character posters highlighting our five new teenagers with attitudes-turned- superhero martial arts masters.

First up we have the Pink Ranger, AKA Kimberly. Amy Jo Johnson played this role in the original 1990s TV series ‘Mighty Morphin Power Rangers,’ and she’ll be played in the movie by Naomi Scott.

Next, the Yellow Ranger, AKA Trini, with Becky G taking over the role originally taken by the late Thuy Trang.

Joining these largely unknown young actors will be Bryan Cranston as the Rangers’ alien mentor Zordon, Bill Hader as the voice of their robot assistant Alpha-5, and Elizabeth Banks as the villainous Rita Repulsa.

On their initial reveal, some criticised the new Power Rangers outfit designs for being a bit too Iron Man-like; will these new posters do anything to change that opinion? Let’s face it though, they’d look a lot sillier if they dusted off the old spandex suits from the TV show.

Directed by Dean Israelite (‘Project Almanac’), ‘Power Rangers’ opens in UK cinemas on 24 March.
