Power Chan feels helpless over alleged TVB ban

30 Nov – Hong Kong actor Power Chan recently admitted that he feels powerless over the issue that sparked with TVB following his decision to be involved in a ViuTV drama, Mingpao reported.

Previously, it was reported that Power has accepted TVB's offer to star in their upcoming drama, "Justice Pao", and also joined its upcoming reality show that will be co-hosted by his "Short End of the Stick" co-stars Wayne Lai, Raymond Cho, and Edwin Siu.

However, after finding out that Power is involved in a ViuTV drama "Behind the Firm", the company reportedly decided to kick him off the projects and temporarily ban him.

When asked about it recently, the actor stated his belief that the problem is not the company itself, but among some of the people within the company.

"Mr. Lu, a senior at ViuTV said that he felt sorry for me for the inconvenience. Although the cooperation failed, there should be a proper explanation for it," he said.

When asked if he will no longer cooperate with TVB in the future, Power said that he will wait for the company to improve their practices.
