"Polis Evo 3" immortalised via gigantic mural
27 Jun – Following the success and the positive response from fans and audiences at the box office, "Polis Evo 3" is now immortalised through a mural on Jalan Kemuning, Dang Wangi.
The launch was held on site and was attended by the starring duo, Shaheizy Sam and Zizan Razak, alongside the "Polis Evo 3" Executive Producer and Vice President, Malay Nusantara Business and Head of Astro Shaw, Raja Jastina Raja Arshad; Director of Skop Productions, Datuk Yusof Haslam; Chief Executive Officer of TGV Pictures & TGV Cinemas, Mr Tan Lay Han; Producer and representative for BlackFlag Production, Joel Soh; as well as director Syafiq Yusof.
The ceremony was also graced by Group Chief Executive Officer of Astro, Euan Daryl Smith. In addition, DBKL Executive Director of Planning, YBHG. Datuk TPr Sulaiman Bin Mohamed was also present at the event.
Said Raja Jastina Raja Arshad, "As a sign of gratitude for the support we've received from fans and audiences, we've immortalised Polis Evo 3 through this graffiti mural painting. With this, Polis Evo 3 becomes the first local film to be immortalised through a mural."
"Fellow fans can take the opportunity to visit and take pictures with this special mural. Through this mural, we hope to carry the message that is highlighted through the tagline of Polis Evo 3 – 'Kita Lagi Kuat Boh' - showing that we can overcome any challenges and achieve what we want together," she added.
The mural sees the coming together of rural and urban elements as the background for Inspector Khai dan Inspector Sani, alongside the tagline of Polis Evo 3, "Kita Lagi Kuat Boh". It symbolises the fact that no matter where one comes from, we can achieve our dreams through hard work and dedication.
The 1000 square feet mural is made by Abdul Rashade Studio. This mural is supported by DBKL (Kuala Lumpur City Hall) which welcomes this effort in promoting art and pop culture to have an impact in raising the image to beautify Kuala Lumpur.
Meanwhile, Astro Shaw has also officially launched the sale of exclusive "Polis Evo 3" t-shirts. There are three different designs for fans to choose from, and they can be purchased online The Merchist for RM79.00.
Directed by Syafiq Yusof, the Zizan Razak and Shaheizy Sam-starrer collected over RM51.0 million at the box office, making it the number one best-selling film in Malaysia in 2023.
