Pokémon Tokyo Banana now has an Eevee version
Last month, Tokyo Banana released its Pikachu edition, which is simply too cute to eat.
This is the Pikachu Tokyo Banana:
To make our hearts flutter even more, Pokémon Tokyo Banana now has an Eevee version! This is not surprising, since Eevee, the only Pokémon with eight kinds of evolutions, is the next most popular Pokémon.
Referencing the colour of Eevee’s body, the Eevee Tokyo Banana takes on a darker shade of brown with chocolate-flavoured sponge cake. On the inside, the banana custard cream is enhanced with the taste of caramel macchiato.
Similar to the Pikachu edition, Eevee Tokyo Banana has a total of six patterns: Happy Eevee, Stiff Eevee, Going Out Eevee, Wink Eevee, Hello Eevee, and of course the special Eevee Tail, which has a heart-shaped tail marking signifying a female Eevee.
Sold in packs of two at 291 yen (about S$3.70) with each cake in a wrapper designed to look like a Poké Ball, the packaging features six different Eevee illustrations for you to choose from — or you can collect ’em all like a true blue Pokémon master.
While these packs of two will be available in 7-Eleven convenience stores all over Japan from 2 January 2021, Pokémon Tokyo Banana will also be releasing boxes of eight too, from 12 January 2021. However, not all six cake designs will definitely be in the box of eight, which is sold at 1,188 yen (about S$15).
For those who are itching to get your hands on these adorable snacks, Pokémon Tokyo Banana has opened a permanent shop in Tokyo station, which is already selling the Pikachu version. Now, all we need to do is to wait for travel to resume!
