Poe Dameron in the Spotlight in Zany New 'Lego: The Force Awakens' Clip (Exclusive)

Poe Dameron can fly anything. Even if it’s made of bricks.

The Star Wars: The Force Awakens ace gets some shine in the exclusive spotlight video (above) featuring scenes from the upcoming Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens video game. In addition to reliving the movie’s adventure with typical Lego humor, gamers will also be able to play a half-dozen missions expanding on the plot, including one in which Poe rescues the captured Admiral Ackbar from Captain Phasma.

The clip, like the game, features new dialogue recorded by Oscar Isaac. Other cast members also contributed to the video game voices, including Daisy Ridley (Rey), John Boyega (Finn), Adam Driver (Kylo Ren), Harrison Ford (Han Solo), Carrie Fisher (Leia Organa), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Lupita Nyong’o (Maz Kanata), Domhnall Gleeson (General Hux), Gwendoline Christie (Captain Phasma), and Max von Sydow (Lor San Tekka).

Aside from the Poe-centric level, fans can play as Han and Chewie as they endeavor to capture the deadly Rathtars, discover the act of droid heroism that led to C-3PO getting that red arm, find out how Lor San Tekka made it to the village on Jakku, play the “Ottegan Assault” that led the Resistance and First Order to Lor San Tekka, and join the space pirate (and Maz Kanata bar patron) known as the Crimson Corsair as he tangles with the First Order.

Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens comes out June 28 on most major platforms. Meanwhile, Lego and Disney XD have also teamed up on a series of shorts that flesh out several new vignettes based on The Force Awakens, beginning with Poe saving Ackbar (which is also the plot of the new Poe Dameron comic from Marvel — synergy!). So far, Lego has rolled out five shorts via the Toys “R” Us YouTube channel, some of which you can watch below.
