This Platform Adidas Samba Is the Perfect Valentine’s Day Gift for Your Sambae
Adidas is bringing greater meaning to the word “Sambae” by turning it into the ideal gift for Valentine’s Day.
The Adidas Sambae “V-Day” sees the platform Samba take on a number of amorous features for the holiday. Two different shades of red are used for the suede and leather upper, and the cream leather stripes feature heart cut-outs like you’d see on a handmade card. When you look down on the shoe, you’ll also see another heart cut right into the center of the T-bar. The shoe is then rounded out with a classic translucent gum sole, albeit with the stack that sets apart the Sambae from the Samba.

Adidas first introduced the Sambae near the tail end of 2023, well into the current hot streak of the model originally launched in 1949.
The German brand’s other plans for Valentine’s Day-themed sneakers have yet to surface, but you can be sure plenty more will arise. Nike, for its part, has a lot to offer, including heart-molded Air Force 1 Lows, a heart-patterned Cortez, lush pink Air Jordan 3 and mylar balloon-inspired Air Max 1.
The Adidas Sambae “V-Day” is out now through Foot Locker’s website. Adidas will also stock the shoe at a later date along with select third-party retailers. Pricing is set at $110.
