Piolo Pascual says he is not replacing John Lloyd Cruz
19 Mar – Piolo Pascual has recently dismissed the idea that he is back on the sitcom "Home Sweetie Home" as a replacement for John Lloyd Cruz.
As reported on ABS-CBN, the actor, who joined the cast late last year following Cruz's indefinite break from showbiz, shared that he was asked to pinch-hit for Cruz when the latter's character suddenly disappeared because of his absence.
"Not to fill in, but more like a needed guest, so I took it," he said.
Pascual said that he has no issue doing it since it didn't disrupt his schedule and he enjoyed every second of it as they go along.
His response echoed co-star Toni Gonzaga's own, when she stated that Pascual is not a replacement, but a great addition to the "HSH" family.
In "Home Sweetie Home", Pascual plays the role of JP, a character he previously played when he appeared in the sitcom a few years back.
