Miss World Singapore 2013 finalists gather amid pageant controversy

Here are 12 of the 15 finalists for this year’s Miss World Singapore who gathered at bar/restaurant, The Exchange, on Monday. Speaking to Yahoo! Singapore, the finalists shared how excited they were over the upcoming finals and said competing in the pageant has taught them to carry themselves well in front of the media and public.

Ahead of the Miss World Singapore competition on 28 July, 12 of the 15 finalists discussed the pageant’s controversies over a casual dinner on Monday. The ladies shared with Yahoo! Singapore their reactions toward the pageant’s controversial live audience voting, as well as the criticism they have been receiving and how they coped. The ladies showed excitement for the approaching finals and talked about the activities they went through in preparation for the contest. The winner of Miss World Singapore 2013 will represent the city-state in the international round on 28 September in Jakarta, Indonesia.
