PHOTOS: INFINITE's Kim Myung-soo at press conference and fan-meeting in Singapore

You may know him more commonly as L of popular K-pop boyband INFINITE, but this South Korean singer is also hoping to attract more fans as the actor Kim Myung-soo.

This was one of the things the K-pop star shared while he was in Singapore on Friday (22 September) and Saturday (23 September).

The 25-year-old met with fans and the media at West Coast Plaza for a short press conference on Friday, where he answered questions about his identity as a singer and actor, before holding his first solo fan meeting at Resorts World Sentosa the day after.

Kim made his debut in the Korean entertainment industry in 2010 as INFINITE’s L, but uses Kim Myung-soo for his acting jobs. He was last seen playing the role of Lee Sun in the historical drama ‘The Emperor: Owner of the Mask’, opposite Yoo Seung-ho and Kim So-hyun.

When asked if he was ever afraid that viewers might dissociate his identity as boyband member L and his ‘rebranding’ as Kim Myung-soo the actor, the Korean star showed no worry.

“Although I have already led a career as L for seven years as a singer, I am confident that I can attract more fans as Kim Myung-soo by showing a different side of me,” Kim told the crowd.

“I will continue to improve myself, whether as L or Kim Myung-soo, so I ask for your continued interest and support.”
