PHOTOS: Cosplayers take over the Anime Festival Asia Singapore 2016

Throngs of Japanese anime and game lovers flocked to the Suntec Convention Centre Hall 4 on Saturday (26 November) for the second day of the Anime Festival Asia Singapore 2016.

Anime Festival Asia, the largest Japanese culture and anime festival in the region, kicked off in full swing on Friday. This year marks the ninth time the Anime Festival Asia has been held in Singapore. Organised by SOZO, Dentsu Group and Zepp Live, the festival saw over 90,000 attendees last year.

Since Friday, the festival saw many cosplayers decked in colourful and elaborate costumes eagerly looking forward to meet celebrity cosplayers, industry guests and acclaimed artists. Attendees can expect an exhilarating weekend of non-stop fun and insights on Japanese anime and popular culture.

The festival has three different sections – the Exhibition Hall, Main Day Stage and 'I Love Anisong' concerts. Festival goers can purchase tonnes of anime merchandise, survey the displays and watch mini concerts at the Exhibition Hall. The Main Day Stage features guests and anime showcased at various timings. Those who stay till 7pm can watch concerts daily at the 'I Love Anisong' stage.
