Pharrell’s Humanrace x Adidas line will soon continue a prolific run of Samba sneakers with six new colorways dropping at once.
Mid-May will bring a straightforward scheme for Pharrell’s Humanrace x Adidas Samba available in an assortment of colors. Each version starts with the same tonal grey base covering the majority of the sneaker. The contrast-stitched Three Stripes motif, mustache, and sockliner are then rendered in blue, yellow, green, red, black or white.
Grey stitching also lines the top the tongue, and the upper is constructed with higher-quality suede and leather commanding a higher price tag than usual. Tonal “Samba” embossing appears near the Three Stripes as the only additional branding for the shoe’s exterior.
The six new Samba sneakers will bring the total number of variants released by Pharrell and Adidas to 19 since they first began taking on the model in 2022. A bulk drop of six colorways also landed just over a year ago in May with the shoe taking on monochrome looks in red, orange, yellow, pink, purple and green. The last release came in November with set featuring options in green and grey or grey and pink.
Adidas’ most trendy silhouette for several years running has replaced the NMD Hu as the focal point for Pharrell’s Humanrace releases. On Thursday, May 10, Dingyun Zhang’s debut Adidas collaboration will add a new Samba into the mix with patent leather and puffy detailing commanding a $250 fee.
Pharrells’ six new Humanrace x Adidas Samba sneakers will release May 15 through the Confirmed app and select third-party retailers. Pricing for the shoe is set at $170.
