Peter Chan unsure of format for Zhang Ziyi-starrer, "The Murderer"
12 Oct – Peter Chan recently revealed that he has yet to decide on what kind of project "The Murderer" would be, after announcing that he will be helming the said title.
The Hong Kong director, who recently launched his own studio, Changin' Pictures, stated that he could be turning the project into a movie or a series for a streaming platform.
"When I produce a content, I am no longer bound by the format. Is this a movie or a series? It has not yet been decided," he told the media during his visit at the Busan International Film Festival.
It was previously revealed that the upcoming project, which will star Zhang Ziyi, is a suspense thriller set in 1944 Shanghai based on real events. The story, as Variety reported, focuses on a woman who is accused of murdering and dismembering her abusive husband.
Among other projects that will be produced by Changin' Pictures include a Donnie Yen action-fantasy, "Outright Loser, Hidden Master", as well as a Korean series, "ONE: High School Heroes", an adaptation of a webtoon of the same name.
