People On TikTok Shared A Totally Genius Hack That Will Make Cutting Birthday Cake A Breeze
Is there anything more stressful than being the designated cake cutter at the birthday party? Figuring out what slice to give everyone while also making sure you cut them into perfect little triangles is seriously not fun. Luckily, like seemingly all things, TikTok has a hack to get rid of your cake-cutting woes forever.
Multiple users have shared this hack, which we read about on Mashed, that involves using fine string or floss to cut your cake into clean and even slices going horizontally, vertically, and diagonally, depending on the shape of your cake. You can see it demonstrated below and we're not going to lie, it's pretty satisfying to watch.
Of course, if you're a baker, you might already be aware of this hack. People often use it to get a super clean cut on layered cakes or to cut things like cinnamon rolls without smooshing them (it works like a charm, by the way!). That said, that's usually a hack we save for the pre-baking or decorating process, not really when the finished cake is in front of us. And we're not the only ones; watching this kind of blew a lot of peoples' minds.
