Pauline Yeung doing all she can to help shooting victims
7 Oct - Former Hong Kong actress Pauline Yeung recently revealed that she is doing all she can to be of help to the victims of the recent Las Vegas mass shooting.
As reported on Mingpao, the former beauty queen who is currently residing in the Nevada city, spoke to the Hong Kong media where she shared that she and her family were having dinner ten minutes away from the location of the tragedy, and was shocked by what happened.
"We didn't know it happened at the time. It was only after we came home and switched on the television that we found out about it. It's really sad. I have been sitting in front of the television for more updates about the incident," she said.
However, Pauline admitted that her son went back to school as usual the day after, adding that she didn't explain the shooting to him so as to not scare him.
"[My husband and I] had plans to go to the casino and see a concert this week. I wanted to cancel the trip, but my husband said that we should live our lives as usual and not get affected by the incident," she said.
However, the actress said that she is also doing all she can to help the victims, including donating money for them.
"I also wanted to donate blood to save more people, but there are a lot of people already queuing to do the same. So I decided to make my blood donation appointment online," she added.
Although the tragedy was a sad day for the people in the United States, Pauline said that she also gets to witness the goodness in people, as they come in droves to help out others.
