The video itself features various footage of Walker and the crew from the action franchise, winding up with his character Brian O’Connor racing off into the sunset with Vin Diesel’s Dom Torreto, before finally taking different roads.
It’s only the second video to have amassed as many hits, the other being Psy’s viral pop sensation ‘Gangnam Style’, which racked up 2.5 billion views.
Walker was killed in a car crash in 2013 while the film was being made, when a Porsche being driven by Walker’s friend careered off the road and hit a lamp post.
The actor’s brothers Caleb and Cody helped fill in as his double for some of the final footage which had not been shot at the time of his death.
Vin Diesel has been known to burst into renditions of the track, doing so a number of times at awards shows and the like in tribute to his late friend.
It still remains hugely popular, smashing a Spotify record last April, when it received 4.2 million streams in a single day, and 12.9 million in a week.
