Paul Soriano awed by Edward Barber's performance

26 Sep – Director Paul Soriano has found his new favourite young actor in "First Love" supporting actor, Edward Barber.

As reported on Push, the filmmaker who spoke about the "Pinoy Big Brother" alum recently, believes that Barber will going to be the next big thing.

"He takes his craft very seriously. He's got all the makings to become a best actor. He was very attentive. What I like about him is when I talk, he would listen, but at the same time he was also collaborating," he said.

Soriano also praised Barber for having his own ideas and thoughts about his performance, saying that it was a brave thing to do for a young actor like him, unlike most who would just listen.

"I think he was challenged because he has [a lot of] scenes with Aga Muhlach. You can see also that he was nervous but he was using that as motivation. He did very well," he said, adding that Barber didn't need much help to ease his way into it as he thought the actor would.

The director also admitted that he would love to work with Barber again in the future.
