Paul Chun: My kids's success is the best Father's Day gift

18 Jun – Although Father's Day just took place, Hong Kong actor Paul Chun stated that he has no need for material gifts from his kids, who had already given the best present to him in a form of their hard work and independence.

As reported on Mingpao, the actor who sat down for an interview recently, shared that while most young people in their generation rely on their parents for help, both his kids Benji and Lesley Chiang succeeded in making it in the music industry without his help.

"I have a pair of very proud children who don't need to depend on their old man. They work hard themselves," he said with a smile.

Speaking of his son Benji, Paul said that Benji never had any issues other teenagers faced throughout their growing years in Canada, and even insisted on finding his own footing in showbiz following graduation. He even kept his identity as Paul Chun's son a secret from everybody.

Paul stated, "You made your own choice when it comes to your career. I can only express my support. If you fall, you have to climb up again. When I started, nobody helped me. My father passed away when I was six. Who helped me? I didn't have to help them, they do it themselves. Lesley also joined TVB recently and is actively looking for opportunities."

When asked about Lesley's previous breakup with Fred Cheng, Paul couldn't help but sigh.

"I told her to relax more. I was so sad for her, but it's all okay now. In fact, she has been doing even better," he said proudly.
