Patty Jenkins Thanks Her Wonder Woman Cast And Crew As Filming Wraps

Director Patty Jenkins has thanked the cast and crew of ‘Wonder Woman’ after announcing that filming of the landmark superhero epic has wrapped.

In a series of tweets, Jenkins described Wonder Woman herself Gal Gadot as “a shining star” and co-star Chris Pine as “one of my favourite humans”.

“So happy and excited to have wrapped the first Wonder Woman film!! And one William Marston’s birthday, no less!” she said, namechecking the man who created the iconic superhero at DC Comics in 1941.

“What an incredible cast and crew,” Jenkins continued. “So grateful to them. And going to miss being with Gal Gadot every day. What a shining star of a person. Good, kind, strong and impressive and what a performance! Gal is a Wonder Woman, for real.”

Speaking the man playing love interest Steve Trevor, the ‘Monster’ director said: “Chris Pine is one of the greatest people I’ve ever met. He blew my mind and became one of my favourite humans. Mindblowing talent and what a special spirit. Gal and my best friend, and partner, beginning to end.

I love those guys and the whole cast and crew. Will miss you guys. Can’t wait for everyone to see all of your great work. Happy bday to WMM!”

'Wonder Woman’ will hop between time periods, and also stars Robin Wright, Connie Nielsen, David Thewlis and Lucy Davis. The film is set for release on 2 June 2017.
