Patrick Tam on Annie Yi insulting Anita Mui: She would just smile!
9 Jul – Hong Kong singer Patrick Tam recently appeased angered fans of late Cantopop singer Anita Mui, who were enraged over Annie Yi's recent statement about their favourite star.
As reported on Mingpao, Patrick, known to be one of Anita's close pal and protégés, stated that the singer was known for her mild temperament and sense of humour, and thus would not be easily inflamed by such rude remarks made by Annie.
It is noted that the Taiwanese singer previously made a statement saying that she was fortunate to find her self-worth after finding love, adding that otherwise one would end up like Anita - who wore a wedding dress at her concert prior to her death as she never had the chance to do so in her personal life.
Following the backlash against her, Patrick was recently approached to express his thoughts about Annie's words.
To that he said, "Based on Anita's temperament, I believe she would just smile and ask everybody to laugh together."
The singer also stated that Anita would be happy to know that so many people are still defending and supporting her today, and that would be enough.
