Park Ji-Yeon to make movie comeback

26 Aug - Singer-actress Park Ji-Yeon is set to make her movie comeback with the upcoming film, "Woman of Fire" (working title).

As reported on MK, the T-ara member – popularly known by her mononym Jiyeon - whose last film was the 2015 "Encounter", will be working alongside fellow K-pop alum Song Ji-Eun and actress Kim Nu-Ri in the upcoming project, which will revolve around an actress who gets caught up in an incident as she prepares to return to acting.

Jiyeon will be playing the role of said actress Lee Soo-Yeon.

On the other and, Song Ji-Eun will play a huge fan of the said actress named Park Ji-Min.

"Thriller is a genre I have always wanted to try," said the actress about the project. "I will do my best to show good acting performance."

The upcoming movie will be produced by Yoo Young-Sun of "The Wicked" fame. It is set to begin filming on 27 August.

Although it has been a while since she made a movie, it is noted that Jiyeon has starred in numerous TV series in recent years, including KBS2's "Imitation" and "I Wanna Hear Your Song". Her latest drama is the 2021 Watcha's "Next Door Witch J".
