Paddington fans are in for an extra treat as the first two movies are returning to cinemas sooner than the release of Paddington in Peru.

The next movie in the franchise is due out in November, and will see the beloved bear return to Peru alongside the Brown family to see his Aunt Lucy.

It's now been confirmed that the 2014 original movie and its 2017 sequel will be back in cinemas in October – and we certainly cannot wait to relive Hugh Grant's incredible dancing on the big screen.

Paddington's upcoming third adventure recently debuted its first trailer, which sees the bear arrive at the Home for Retired Bears only to be told by the Reverend Mother (Olivia Colman) that his Aunt Lucy has headed on a quest.

As well as regular returning cast members Ben Whishaw, Hugh Bonneville, Julie Walters, Madeleine Harris and Samuel Joslin, the movie will see the addition of Emily Mortimer, who replaces Sally Hawkins as Mrs Brown.

Colman also joins alongside Antonio Banderas as Hunter Cabot, and Carla Tous – who replaces Rachel Zegler in the role of Hunter's daughter Gina.

Dougal Wilson takes over as director from Paul King, and recently opened up about how Paddington in Peru changes things up for the franchise.

"The first film gives us a bit of information about where Paddington came from and how he found his home in London, And then the second story, he almost loses that home, but in doing so consolidates his community in London and his friends," he explained.

"We thought for the third film, it was very appropriate to return to Peru, but this time take his London friends and community with him and have an adventure there and in doing so, fill in some of the missing pieces about what we didn't learn in the first two films."

Paddington and Paddington 2 will return to cinemas this October. Paddington in Peru will be released in UK cinemas on 8 November, 2024.
