Pace Wu clarifies partner's failure to pay rent

20 May – Taiwanese actress Pace Wu recently clarified the issue surrounding her partner's failure to pay the rent for three detached properties in the month of May.

As reported on Apple Daily, the issue sparked recently when the owner of the three properties was said to have filed a motion with the high courts to retrieve millions in Taiwanese dollars that was owed to him by businessman Ji Xiaobo, and to also repossess the said properties.

Following the controversy, Pace took to social media to explain the situation, saying that she was surprised after reading the news as she had just returned from Hong Kong with her children.

Stressing that it was just a misunderstanding, the actress said that the employees in charge of depositing the cheques forgot to do it due to the fact that everybody have not returned to the office following the safety measures taken due to the pandemic.

"After finding it out yesterday morning, I paid the rent immediately. This is such a trivial thing, and yet it became news today. I am so sorry that it has taken up public resources," she added.
