Oscar-nominated "Trolls" gets a sequel!

Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick will be back to voice the main characters

Branch (Justin Timberlake) and Poppy (Anna Kendrick) are coming back for more trolling fun!

1 Mar – "Trolls" fans, put your dancing shoes back on – the animated musical film is coming back for round two!

"Trolls 2" is happening, DreamWorks Animation and Universal Pictures have confirmed on social media earlier today.

Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake will return for the sequel, to voice Princess Poppy and Branch, respectively. No word yet on who else in the original cast will be returning to voice the other musically-inclined, colourful Trolls in the upcoming movie.

It is also not yet confirmed whether Timberlake will once again be providing the official soundtrack. But seeing that the singer-actor has a good track record so far, his "Can't Stop the Feeling!" was nominated for Best Original Song at this year's Oscars and he performed the song to open the awards ceremony recently, chances are high that he would once again be providing his vocals for the title track.

Directed by Mike Mitchell and Walt Dohrn, the 3D-animated film based on the Troll dolls created by Thomas Dam made USD339.5 million worldwide against its USD125 million production budget last year

Fans do have quite some time to wait for the follow-up though as "Trolls 2" will only be dancing into cinemas on 10 April 2020.
